Height beats size on a shop floor
A bigger sign is the instinctive fix when nobody notices a promotion, and it is usually the wrong one. What actually decides whether a sign is read is its height relative to the eye and its angle to the aisle. A letter-size card at eye level on an adjustable stand outperforms a much larger poster lying flat on a table, because a flat card is read at a glancing angle by someone walking past. The same principle drives the risers: lifting a product two inches off the shelf puts it in the sightline and separates it from the row behind it. Neither costs much. Both change what a customer sees first.
